Definition
Thyroid antibodies are immune proteins associated with autoimmune thyroid disease. The most commonly measured are thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO), thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb), and TSH receptor antibodies (TRAb). Results must be interpreted alongside thyroid function and symptoms.
